When searching for a piano teacher, it is important to consider the communication style of the teacher and the manner in which information is presented. My approach to teaching piano is to deliver the material, using the language that is common to the student. By taking this approach, I find that my students feel more comfortable with me and are more productive. I try to find creative ways of making learning and practicing enjoyable not only for the student but for the parents too.
The ultimate goal for each individually crafted course is to provide the student with a sense of participation along with instruction; students need to know that their opinions and thoughts are important.
